It’s too late to write much…

I’ve been getting up on east coast time, but going to sleep on west coast time. This only leaves a few hours of sleep. Today I got back from the workshop and took a two hour nap.

Then, it was off grocery shopping with my dorm neighbor Gabriela, and a quick stop at the coffee/bagel corner for decaf. Gabriela tried to Skype her family in Mexico, but they weren’t online. I sat and eavesdropped on the three young folks at the next table (I discovered that Soduko puzzles on my Palm are great for making it look like I’m doing something when I’m really eavesdropping). One guy had been in Iraq, and he had some interesting stories about life in a war zone. The three of them seemed to be you ministers. An interesting story was of a friend who “had been a nice conservative Christian” but then went off to seminary and was now wanting to ask questions about the Bible and standard teachings. One of them responded saying that is what can happen when people go off to seminary. I guess we better shut down all the seminary because they are getting all those ministers to think!

Tomorrow night Gabriela and I are going to go to a baseball game (the Charlotte Knights minor league team) and running some errands on the southside of Charlotte (the team actually plays 15 miles south of Charlotte in South Carolina). Gabriela asked how long the games are, and I said probably a couple hours, but I just need to stay 30-60 minutes to get my fix of a new stadium and a minor league game–I’ve never attended a minor league game and they seem so much more inviting to me than the major league these days. We’ll see how long we last 🙂

Well, it’s time for bed. Lots of love,

Lee
