Sitting in Safeway in Florence, OR

Well, it’s better than Florence, AZ, where I spent a few days in the Federal Pen after a protest at Vandenburg Air Force base…

Nice day yesterday. I picked up a couple hitchikers outside Arcata and took them as far as Coos Bay. Not a lot of conversation, but they got a good ride out of it 🙂

Last night I stayed in Umpqua Lighthouse State Park. Nice campground, nice beach (not right next to each other). Oregon doesn’t charge for their showers (CA does), and they heat the bathrooms (global warming, here we come!).

Today I’ve been doing some work for my high school reunion committee, so I’m feeling a bit rushed. I’ll write more later today or tomorrow (hmm, rushed, vacation, what’s up?)
