So it’s root, root, root for the home team…
Gabriela and I ran some errands after class today and then made it to the Charlotte Knights baseball game in the middle of the sixth inning. Luck for us, the game went 12 innings, so we still got our money’s worth :-). The Knights pulled out a final run in the 12th, and we were all able to go home.
What a refreshing experience minor league baseball is. Lots of families with kids (2 for 1 night, so the bleacher seats are only $3.50), a goofie mascot parading around, you can buy tickets for the cheap seats but then go sit in the bottom deck, lots of space to spread out (but I’m not so sure if that would be the case tomorrow at $2 beer night). Makes me think that I need to think about going to see the Sacramento River Cats instead of the A’s or Giants (not that I’m that big a baseball fan anyway, but from my new digs it’s probably not that much further to Sacramento).
Anyway, I keep writing these posts too late at night (oh, that Charlotte nightlife), so it’s time to go to bed. Gotta get up early tomorrow to read my homework before class…
