Thanksgiving 2018 at Año Nuevo State Park
Katie and I spent most of Thanksgiving weekend at Costanoa (which features a lodge, restaurant, tent cabins, and camping) on the San Mateo Coast. Only slightly over an hour away from our home in San Francisco, yet relatively isolated on the coast, this has become a favorite weekend getaway location.
On Thanksgiving Day, we hiked at Año Nuevo State Park, a rookery for hundreds of elephant seals. As we were eating lunch before heading to the seal beaches, I saw folks heading in and out from all walks of life. My child-like wonder (as Katie describes it), got the better of me and I decided to ask folks if they would like to share why they are thankful for a YouTube video.
As I was asking people, I was pleasantly surprised how many were willing to share. A few opted out, but many were happy to share thoughts. The following video shows the responses of these folks, as well as some sites and sounds of the park.
